About the Role
Join our dedicated team at Bene Aged Care as a Lifestyle Assistant, where you will design, implement, and evaluate activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. You’ll be supporting care recipients in both group and one-on-one settings, helping them settle into the home, and acting as an advocate for their needs. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities based on individual resident needs
- Assist new residents in adjusting to life at the facility
- Advocate for residents, addressing any complaints or concerns
- Document daily attendance and activity participation
- Support the health, safety, and social well-being of care recipients
- Report health status changes to the Registered Nurse and communicate effectively with family members
About You
- Ability to relate and empathize with a diverse range of people
- Experience working in a team environment
- Understanding of aged care and dementia care needs
- A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for older adults
Essential Criteria
- Current National Police Certificate
- Driver’s License
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Manual Handling experience
- Understanding of aged care issues
Desirable Criteria
- Awareness of dementia care requirements
- Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and WH&S regulations
- Italian-speaking is an advantage
