Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities based on individual resident needs
  • Assist new residents in adjusting to life at the facility
  • Advocate for residents, addressing any complaints or concerns
  • Document daily attendance and activity participation
  • Support the health, safety, and social well-being of care recipients
  • Report health status changes to the Registered Nurse and communicate effectively with family members

About You

  • Ability to relate and empathize with a diverse range of people
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Understanding of aged care and dementia care needs
  • A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for older adults

Essential Criteria

  • Current National Police Certificate
  • Driver’s License
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Manual Handling experience
  • Understanding of aged care issues

Desirable Criteria

  • Awareness of dementia care requirements
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and WH&S regulations
  • Italian-speaking is an advantage
