St. Pauls Bene Aged Care, located in the charming town of Hahndorf, is one of our residential sites providing exceptional care and a welcoming environment for both residents and staff.
We are seeking a skilled Chef/Cook to join our team on a permanent part-time/full-time basis to prepare delicious, nutritious meals that cater to the needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
As a Chef/Cook, you will:
- Prepare and serve meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
- Assist in designing nutritious menus for the facility and special events.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with the Food Safety Program and HACCP standards.
- Cater to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, cultural needs, and health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas and equipment.
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Complete and maintain all food safety and HACCP documentation.
About You
Essential Criteria:
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Chef/Cook.
- Recognized trade certificate in commercial cookery.
- Understanding of aged care-specific dietary needs and food safety regulations.
Desirable Criteria:
- Italian-speaking skills.
- Previous experience in an aged care environment.
- Knowledge of accreditation and continuous improvement processes in the aged care sector.
- Expertise in food safety standards and compliance.
